Meet The Team
Brandon Tully
President
Brandon is a lifelong resident of the Midwest. Growing up in rural Illinois, he started working at an early age. During high school, he worked for a local building contractor and learned the values of quality craftsmanship and building structures that last a lifetime and beyond.
Shortly after high school, Brandon entered the electricians’ apprenticeship at the Terre Haute JATC, where he learned the electrical trade and became a Master Electrician. After graduating from the electrical apprenticeship, Brandon started Skill Electric LLC, which he still operates today along with another great electrical contracting firm, Lytle Electric Co.
Throughout his career, Brandon has worked to maintain and improve efficiency in his companies’ electrical construction projects. That drive is how he came to the precast industry. It started with frustration over cast-in-place light pole bases. The solution was to make precast light pole bases.
After careful research, Brandon and his team determined Pole Base was the best product and decided to enter the precast industry with Pole Base as their first product. Thus, Skill Precast was born.
Once up and running, Brandon remembered a general contractor introducing him to Superior Walls many years earlier. He was immediately impressed with the quality and efficiency of the product. Brandon engaged Superior Walls to become a licensed producer.
Brandon serves as the President of Skill Precast LLC and works closely with GM Fred Akers and other leadership to continue building the company and serving our valued customers with excellence in quality and service.

Fred is an impactful leader that brings more than 30 years of construction and building materials experience to the team. His knowledge of construction methods and his attentive management style make him a vital asset to the company and our customers. Fred’s experience is not only in residential, but he also has more than 15 years in the commercial and industrial construction sectors, where he estimated and managed multi-million-dollar projects. He owned and operated his own Home Energy Rating Company for more than a decade where he inspected and performed diagnostic testing on over 1,100 homes. As a certified HERS Rater and an IECC/HERS Compliance Specialist, he became proficient in understanding, consulting, testing, and verifying, Energy Code Compliance, and other Building Science challenges.

Lonny’s attention to detail and meticulous personality, pair well with our high-quality standards. His main duties include batching and testing our concrete, verifying incoming materials as well as outgoing products to ensure compliance with our standards, managing our plant maintenance, leading our Pole Base division, as well as operating our CNC Hot Wire Foam Cutter. He has a unique knowledge of machines and mechanical systems which make him great at troubleshooting plant equipment. He not only tests batches for slump, air entrainment, and temperature before we pour, but he performs concrete cylinder breaks, post pour, to verify our minimum 5,000 PSI, at 28 day requirement. Lonny also keeps everyone up to date on safety training and Superior Walls Certifications. When it comes to reliability and quality, there is no one better than Lonny.

Luke is a talented craftsman with a passion for construction. His 10 years of experience and knowledge of building, make him a valuable leader in our company. Luke is responsible for all production in the plant, including layout, building walls, pouring concrete, wall sequencing, trailer loading, and everything in between. Luke’s has been involved in every aspect of residential construction. His flexible abilities are huge when something new comes up, as it often does in this industry. Luke will figure it out. He is a hard worker that even still finds time to serve our country actively in the U.S. Army Reserves.
